Hartford Genealogy Resource Center

The Hartford Genealogy Resource Center at the Hartford Library is open during regular library hours and is staffed by Carole Haehnel on Fridays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, or by appointment. For more information, please e-mail Carole at chaehnel151@comcast.net or call her at 802/295-3974.

  • The Landmark (1882-1952) on microfilm, reader and printer available
  • Printed genealogies and town histories
  • Military resource books
  • Hartford town reports
  • Hartford High School yearbooks
  • Indexes to Hartford birth, death, and burial transit records
  • Church Records from Hartford, Wilder, West Hartford, and Dothan Churches
  • Family files with newspaper clippings, obituaries, photographs, etc.

Work in Progress includes:

  • Indexing cemeteries within Hartford
  • Creating electronic, searchable databases of cemetery, church, and vital records
